In the previous section, I showed you how to stitch simple panoramas. That technique uses a rectilinear projection. By using that technique, you can easily stitch together many images, preserving the look of a regular photograph; straight lines in the real world remain straight in the image. Although, as I stated earlier, if the resulting field of view is larger than around 120 degrees, the objects at the edges will look bad. In this section, I will show you how to create a panorama using a cylindrical projection so that the panorama can encompass up to 360 degrees horizontally.
